I can confidently say that this is the most helpful strategy i’ve used to improve my diet. I’ve always had a problem of never getting enough food in throughout my day, yet feeling like i’ve eaten an entire buffet lol.
However, using a simple food tracker makes it 40x easier to improve on your eating habits. You get written proof that you don’t consume enough or too much (and believe me, that is very important to figure out as an athlete).
The most important thing when first getting into tracking your food is: DO NOT MAKE IT TOO COMPLICATED.
It should be as easy as possible for you to log your food so it allows you to stay consistent.
Here’s an example of what I mean:
Once you get a few weeks of consistent tracking, then you can start getting into tracking calories and your daily nutrients intake.
The most important thing is consistency. Always start with something simple, theres absolutely nothing wrong with that.
