Believe me, I get it. It’s pretty hard to have positive thoughts towards some repeat 200s. Those type of days make you question why you get into the sport in the first place (don’t lie, we’ve all had days like that lol).
But it’s exactly on those hard workouts days it’s important to remember why you're doing it. You’ll never be able to give 100% effort if you’re always having a mental battle with yourself to get through the practices/meets.
In order to fight against that, I want you to try to make a list of benefits you’re gaining from your athletic activities. That goes for practices, warm ups, cool downs, dieting, and even competing.
Although it may seem hard and almost impossible to do at times, being able to focus on the benefits you’re gaining from your athletic choices can serve as a mental push to make it through even the roughest of days.
Trust me, it’ll make a difference (and even if it doesn't, it’s much better to think positively than negatively lol).
Have any questions ?
Please put them in the comments below and i’ll get back to you as soon as I can :).
Thank you for reading,
Kolton Osborn.
